The Obama administration on Wednesday attempted to put the brakes on a recent approval by the Food and Drug Administration to lower the age of women who can obtain Plan B, the so-called “morning-after pill,” by asking a federal court for a stay of that order while they appeal it.
The FDA on Tuesday lowered the age from 17 to 15 for young women to obtain the emergency contraception without a prescription.
