South Carolinians, Civil Rights Groups Challenge State’s Voter ID Law

Courts across the country have six weeks until the U.S. presidential election to resolve the ongoing cases surrounding voter identification laws and South Carolina’s law is the latest to be challenged.

Civil rights groups and citizens are challenging South Carolina’s voter identification law and the arguments just wrapped up on Monday.

To discuss the case and whether or not the groups challenging the law can pull out a victory, host Carmen Russell-Sluchansky spoke with Garrard Beeney, lead attorney for the civil rights groups.
