Paul’s drone filibuster causes yet another split in Republican Party

Sen. Rand Paul’s 13-hour filibuster on Wednesday night seems to have divided the Republican Party even further, with GOP members criticizing and complimenting his stand.

Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell called on Republicans to show up on the floor during Rand’s 13 hours of monologue and some did.

Some came to his aid, taking the pressure off the beleaguered Paul, such as Ted Cruz of Texas who complimented the senator for standing up for what he believed in. However, others such as John McCain criticized Paul as wrong and misdirected.

Host Carmen Russell-Sluchansky spoke with Scottie Nell Hughes, news director and chief journalist for the Tea Party News Network, to discuss the filibuster.
