The number of people voting early is way up and many analysts say the more than one-third of the electorate is likely to vote before November 6.

With early voting likely to benefit the incumbent president, Republicans have even attempted to stop early voting in the key critical state of Ohio. However, the Supreme Court rejected the challenge there on Tuesday.

To discuss this case and the early voting trend, host Carmen Russell-Sluchansky spoke with Dr. Michael P. McDonald, associate professor of government at George Mason University.
