News broke on Tuesday that House Republicans intend to spend as much as $3 million in fighting to keep the Defense of Marriage Act.

The Department of Justice announced in February of 2011 that the Obama administration would no longer defend the controversial Section 3 which defines marriage as being only between a man and a woman, but John Boehner and House Republicans said the White House was shirking its duties and vowed to defend it themselves.

Host Carmen Russell-Sluchansky spoke with Wayne Besen, executive director of Truth Wins Out, to discuss the story.
