As domestic oil advocates celebrate the international appointment of the United States as the soon-to-be top oil producer in the world, environmentalists are raising the red flag. Some say the oil boom will go against U.S. efforts of limiting carbon emission.

Host Carmen Russell-Sluchansky spoke with Michael Marx, director of the Sierra Club’s “Beyond Oil” campaign, to discuss the impact of the U.S. oil boom from an environmentalist perspective.
