About 100 activists marched from Meridian Park in Columbia Heights to the White House on Wednesday evening in honor of May Day, the annual day to celebrate labor rights worldwide.
The activists used the opportunity to draw attention to a number of issues, including income inequality, fair wages, safe work environments and more.
However, a clash with a counterprotest led to several arrests as police intervened to calm the crowds down.
Due Diligence caught up with several participants to find out what they thought about May Day.
