This is the last week Congress has to avoid sequestration, the automatic cuts to the budget that have many worried about education funding and defense spending among other hits.
The president who supported the automatic cuts as a way to motivate Congress to pass a budget is now going on the offensive trying to convey to the public that disastrous impact those cuts will have. However, the Republican-dominated House of Representatives hasn’t been moved.
